Job Purpose
- As the CEO, this position would be responsible for ensuring sustainable business growth and ensuring the delivery of exceptional quality service, positioning the organization as a leader in the engineering industry.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic and planning
- Consolidate inputs from the management to formulate the strategic outlook for the organisation. Support the MD and Board in finalization of the organization business strategy (Long term and short term)
- Identify business goals and cascade the same to leadership team within their functions / areas of work (Sales, Aftermarkets, Operations, Quality, HR, Finance etc.)
- Basis the business strategy, identify critical strategic capabilities which need to be built and prioritize the same
- Assess and prioritize business risks and develop mitigation strategy
- Finalize business targets for the year and review the execution and achievement of the business goals periodically (monthly/ quarterly/ annually)
- Identify and drive key strategic initiatives in Sales & Operations, Technology, Marketing, Product Development, HR, Finance or Regulatory, with an objective to further growth, profitability and/ or optimization
- Review and identify targets for strategic alliances /mergers and business growth
- Seek approval of the Board for strategic partnerships and merger integration decisions
- Drive topline and bottom-line growth
Core
- Direct development of Annual Operating Plans, cascading business plans into Operations, Products, R&D, HR, Finance, and Supply Chain
- Allocate resources to various functions as per business plans
- Review functional performance against targets
- Deploy assets and funds and monitor financial planning to ensure financial prudence and sound management practices
- Survey the environment to benchmark best practices and latest developments in the Capsules industry
- Understand client / brand requirements and oversee client relationship management
- Collaborate with Corporate Commercial team to ensure procurement of key materials at competitive rates/prices
- Ensure repeat business by leveraging on existing clients and delivering the committed quality of products and services
- Drive the Business Development activities for key customers by closely working with the COO Sales and Commercial Excellence with complete accountability for critical client relationships
- Monitor key strategic initiatives (like footprint, revamp of systems, CRM implementation etc.) and report on their status to the Board
- Ensure 100% compliance to Corporate Governance framework and guidelines
- Direct compliance to regulations and legal requirements laid down by government bodies
- Review and control major deviations by providing timely guidance around corrective actions
Internal Processes
- Share Strategic and Operating Plans with the Board / Group CFO for raising investments or funds, as required and demonstrate value creation for sustaining long term association with PEs, Banks and other institutions
- Maintain strong relations with industry leaders and regularly represent the organization at industry fora
- Build relations with relevant government and regulatory bodies for quick clearance of licenses etc. and keeping abreast of changes in regulatory environment and its impact on the company
- Ensure regular reporting of achievement of business goals, compliance issues and other MIS requirements to the Board
People development
- Take overall responsibility for people development initiatives and building up in-house capabilities for the employees in the department
- Drive a performance driven culture in the team by timely monitoring, review of performance parameters and feedback to the team members
- Contribute towards development of talent for the department by providing subordinates with adequate exposure and growth opportunities to enable readiness for higher roles
- Actively participate in HR initiatives to drive overall employee engagement and motivation
- Develop digital capabilities within the organization through recruitment and training to serve the strategic priorities of the organization

Qualification & Experience
- B. Tech/ B.E from a reputed institute, MBA/ M. Tech preferred
- 25 Years+ of professional experience
- 8-10 years should be in manufacturing/B2B environment
- Experience of running a global P&L
- Preferably between the age group of 45-53 years.
