Job Purpose

The incumbent would be responsible for leading the strategic direction and management of information technology (IT), with a particular emphasis on harnessing digital technologies to foster innovation and drive transformation. This role requires a deep understanding of technology, strong leadership skills, and the ability to think strategically. The incumbent will be responsible for driving innovation, ensuring the security and efficiency of IT systems and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain strong business relationships with key stakeholders.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive IT Mid-term and Long-term strategy aligning with overall business objectives across multiple locations and geographies.
- Design and execute a systematic Digitization and Automation approach organization-wide, spanning all functions and locations.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure, along with monitoring outsourcing service partners.
- Ensure seamless integration of SAP/SAP HANA and other enterprise applications, fostering the adoption of SAP best practices across the organization.
- Manage IT projects to ensure timely delivery, within budget, and in alignment with business requirements.
- Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and standards to ensure data security, compliance, and business continuity.
- Oversee the IT budget and ensure efficient allocation of resources for optimal outcomes.
- Continuously monitor and analyze IT performance metrics, identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices to maintain a competitive edge.
- Possess strong knowledge of IT security, risk management, and compliance best practices, remaining current with emerging technologies and industry trends.
- Provide inspiring leadership to build a high performing engaged team through setting stretch performance objectives, encouraging cross functional working and creating a culture of continuous feedback and development.
Qualification & Experience:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in IT management, including at least 5 years in a leadership role as the head of IT in a multi-segment conglomerate within the manufacturing industry, rather than a singular business entity.
- Proven track record in developing and implementing IT strategies aligned with business goals and objectives.
- Demonstrated leadership in leading teams responsible for SAP, Non-SAP, and OT applications.
- Prior experience in overseeing Infrastructure and Information Security teams within medium to large organizations.
- Thorough understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices specifically applicable to OT environments, including risk assessment, threat modeling, and incident response.
- Deep understanding of service level agreements (SLAs) for product and service support, along with a focus on cost optimization in this area.
- Exceptional leadership and management skills, capable of inspiring and motivating a diverse team of IT professionals.
- Strong project management abilities, including task prioritization, resource allocation, and meeting deadlines.
- Familiarity with industry standards and frameworks related to IT Governance, compliance, and risk management. Well-connected within professional networks.
- Age – 42 to 49 years (max)
Technical Knowledge & Key Skills:
- Familiarity with ERP systems like SAP and SAP-HANA.
- Strong knowledge and extensive experience with SAP, including implementation, integration, and support.
- SAP certifications or professional training.
- Familiarity with cloud computing, big data, analytics, and other emerging technologies.
