Job Purpose:

  • The Executive will be responsible for leading and managing the sales and marketing efforts for Animal Feed Products. This role shall focus on strategic planning, execution of sales targets, building brand awareness, procurement, and managing customer relationships and driving market expansions.The individual will closely work with the production and QC teams to ensure product offerings meet customer needs and market demands. to lead our feed business across multiple species and allied services. This role will involve overseeing operations, managing P&L responsibilities, driving strategic growth initiatives, and leading a team across various functional areas, including production, nutrition, procurement, quality control, and customer relations.

Sales Strategies Development:

  • Development and implementation- Comprehensive sales strategies of Animal Feed products across multiple markets and channels,
  • Set Clear sales targets, Goals and KPIs to achieve company objectives, ensuring growth and market share and Revenue
  • Identified new market opportunities, segments and customer bases to grow the business
  • Develop Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies, market intelligence, and pricing frameworks.
  • Expand distribution networks in underpenetrated markets and lead channel management

Team Leadership and management :

  • Lead a large team of people, including technical teams; mentor and manage the teams to ensure high performance and achievements of set goals
  • Provide training, guidance, and motivation to sales and marketing staff.
  • Foster a collaborative environment within the team and with other departments, ensuring smooth execution of strategies.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in implementing business strategies and aligning them with organizational goals.
  • Lead and manage the business units, ensuring operational efficiency, profitability, and growth.

Market Research & Analysis :

  • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
  • Analyze data to inform product development, pricing strategies, and promotional activities.
  • Stay abreast of industry regulations, standards, and innovations.

Branding and Product Positioning:

  • Develop and implement effective marketing campaigns to strengthen the brand’s presence in the marketplace.
  • Position the company’s animal feed products to differentiate from competitors.
  • Oversee the creation of marketing materials, including brochures, website content, and promotional items.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and stakeholders.
  • Engage in direct sales and customer meetings to understand needs and expand business opportunities.
  • Resolve customer issues, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and loyalty.

Collaboration with Cross-Functional teams :

  • Work with the production and research and development teams to align on product offerings, quality standards, and innovation.
  • Provide customer feedback to help shape future product development and enhancements.
  • Oversee the entire business cycle, including production, quality control, procurement, and customer handling, ensuring high standards across all operations.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and manage the sales and marketing budgets, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
  • Provide sales forecasts and reports to senior management for performance tracking.
  • Take ownership of the P&L and ensure effective financial management, including AR monitoring, basic accounts, and resource allocation.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Graduate in Agriculture, Veterinary Sciences, Fisheries, or Animal Nutrition/ B.Sc  /M.Sc
  • MBA/PGDM preferred
  • 16+ years’ experience in Animal Feed categories
  • Age 40 – 48 years, with scope for 10+ years continuity in the system
  • Strong in Sales; understanding of operations would be an advantage
